whatoshop is made by Maksim Borisov. This policy says what the app stores, why, and how to ask for it to be deleted.

What we do not collect

The app has no account. It never asks for an email address, a password, a phone number, a payment card, your location, or your contacts. There are no ads and no tracking across other apps.

What the app stores, and why

The first time you open the app, it creates a random ID in the background. You never see a sign-in. That ID is how this phone keeps its own lists and how a shared list knows which phone changed something. It is stored by our host, Supabase.

If you type a first name in Settings, or when you open a shared list, we save that name. People on that list can see it next to what you marked. You can leave it blank, and you can clear it in Settings.

Your lists are stored so another phone with the link can see them, and so they are still there after you close the app. A list holds its name, the products on it, amounts, and whether each product is bought. Anyone who has the link can see and edit that list. Anyone without the link cannot open it.

If you type a product that is not in the library, we save that typed product name. We use those names to decide what to add to the library later. Other shoppers cannot read them.

What stays on the phone

The app keeps a copy of your lists and the product pictures on the phone, so shopping still works with no signal. The haptics switch and a few display choices stay on the phone and are not sent to the server.

Who else can see it

People you send a list link to can see that list and the first names on it. Supabase stores the lists, the random ID, the optional first name, and the typed product names, and processes them only so the app can run. We do not sell this information. We do not share it with advertisers.

How long it stays

A list stays until the person who created it deletes it in the app. Leaving a shared list removes only that phone. The list stays for everyone else. Deleting the app removes the copy on that phone. Lists created on that phone can remain on the server, and that phone can no longer open them unless someone else still has the link. A typed product name can remain after its list is deleted, without your name attached, so we can see which products are missing.

How to delete it

Delete a list from its menu. That removes the list for everyone. To remove the first name, clear it in Settings. To ask us to delete everything stored for this phone, email aximoris@gmail.com. Say that you want your whatoshop data deleted. We will delete the lists that phone created and the name saved for it.

Children

whatoshop is a general shopping app. It is not made for children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes, and the new text appears in the app and on this page.
